Our Story

Founded by photographer Kristin Gladney, MODE Beach Company reflects her lifelong love of textiles and design. Traveling the world for both work and leisure, Kristin has always been drawn to stunning textiles with gorgeous patterns, rich colors, and textures.

Originally from the Ocean State, with a love for the beach and summer, Kristin realized her own desire for fashionable beach chairs. Unable to find the perfect blend of modern design, comfort, and quality encompassed in lightweight beach chair, she set out to create her own.

MODE beach chairs feature the highest quality luxury performance fabrics created with woven designs. When creating her beach chairs, Kristin wanted to ensure durability, comfort and effortless maintenance. Our solution-dyed acrylic fabrics resist fading, UV rays, and mildew, making them ideal for the outdoors. The teak wood armrests and white matte powder-coated aluminum frame coupled with designer fabrics add a touch of luxury to the beach experience.

Three of our chairs are named after Kristin's children, Vince, Thea, and Vera.
